Our Mission
Fighting Tobacco's and Vaping's Grip on Our Communities
The Advocates for Tobacco & Vape-Free Communities (ATVFC) tackle tobacco-related health disparities by identifying prevention needs, leveraging resources across education and healthcare, and raising public awareness. Through partnerships and measurable interventions, we strive to create lasting, positive health outcomes.
Why Our Work Matters
Black and Brown Communities Bear the Brunt of Tobacco’s Impact
The ATVFC initiative plays a vital role in black and brown communities, where tobacco and vaping use hit the hardest. With higher rates of lung cancer, heart disease, and other tobacco-related illnesses, these populations face significant health disparities. Our Advocates tackle these challenges with culturally relevant strategies designed to meet the unique needs of minoritized communities.
Featured Work

Bilingual Resources Helping Parents Talk to Kids About Vaping
Through infographics, community sessions, and media, this campaign raises awareness of vaping among parents, and guides them in having productive communications with their children.
